An exceptionally fine and heavily decorated 19th-century Ottoman powder flask, representing the peak of luxury ethnographic military accoutrements from the Eastern Mediterranean sphere. This large-scale piece at 15" in length was commissioned as a status symbol for a wealthy warrior or military official, designed to accompany a fine silver-mounted jezail , flintlock pistol, or miquelet rifle.
