.45-60 caliber, 15.5" length, NSN. This is an very rare Day's patent brass blunderbuss truncheon.  This 19th century design combines a truncheon with the power of a single shot percussion firearm. All brass with an eagle pommel. Two brass tags marked "Days Patent". Under hammer with trigger behind the hammer.  British proofs on the underside of the barrel. The eagle head pommel is well detailed.  This rare item is in excellent condition.
