.22 caliber, 12" barrel length, S/N 373. Manufactured in Worcester, Massachusetts between 1870 and 1890. Frank Wesson pioneered the pocket rifle concept, a long-barreled target handgun that instantly transforms into a compact carbine by attaching a skeletonized wire stock. Built on Wesson’s ultra-compact small frame, this model is much rarer than its medium- and large-frame counterparts. Blue barrel with nickel frame and nickel skeleton stock. Rosewood grips. Front hood sight and rear peep hole sight. The barrel retains most of blue finish just slightly turning to a plum patina. The frame retains most of the nickel finish. The grips display some nicks and dings. The stock retains most of the nickel finish. The bore is very good.
