.500 bore diameter, 1.375" round barrel, NSN. The French boxlock percussion pocket pistol was a self-defense weapon throughout continental Europe during the mid-19th century. Unlike side-hammer configurations, the boxlock mechanism contains the hammer and mainspring internally within the central frame; making it an easy conceal and draw weapon. The frame is engraved and marked "Mobeau A. Paris".  Ebony grip with steel cap box.  Folding trigger.  This little pistol is sharp and crisp with some finish in the protected areas.  Excellent overall.
