.320 caliber, 22" Custom heavy round barrel, S/N X17. This customized precision rifle represents a combination of early 20th-century British Empire military history and mid-century American sporting rifle craftsmanship. The foundation of this firearm is a robust Martini-action receiver, a dropping-block design celebrated for its monolithic strength, rapid and lock time. The explicit "Commonwealth of Australia" property marking denotes that this action was originally commissioned for state defense or military marksman training programs down under during the late 19th or early 20th century. Originally built to withstand the rigors of service, these single-shot actions became highly prized by post-WWII custom gunsmiths globally as the ultimate platform for building ultra-consistent, long-range varmint and target rifles. The rifle is paired with a classic Redfield 3X-9X variable-power scope. Redfield was a titan of mid-20th-century American optics, renowned for its clear, rugged glass. This magnification range perfectly complements the inherent long-range accuracy of the single-shot Martini system. The condition of this rifle is excellent with a re-blued finish on the action and barrel. Custom walnut stock with Monte carlo design.  The bore is excellent.
