750 bore diameter, 5.25" octagonal to round and flared at the muzzle, NSN. A spectacular matched pair of 19th-century percussion brass blunderbuss pistols, dating to the mid-1800s. These formidable, wide-bore sidearms feature characteristic flared brass barrels opening into dramatic bell muzzles.  Steel breech plugs. Steel forward action lockplates and hammers. Steel furniture with walnut stocks and empire style butts. Steel caps.  The lockplates with nice untouched look with some brown staining, sharp and crisp.  The stocks are very good to excellent.  One pistol has a chip out near the steel cap.  Also a small crack on the pistol with piece wood missing near the nose cap. The brass with nice aged look.  Overall a very fine pair of pistols.
