.50 caliber, 6" barrel length length, NSN. A fine example of a German Percussion Pistol, dating to the mid-19th century (circa 1840–1860). This single-shot muzzleloading sidearm exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship of Germanic gunsmiths during the transition from flintlock to the more reliable percussion ignition system. With notched rear sight on the tang and a blade front sight. All metal is gray with sharp and crisp edges. The brass furniture with nice dark patina. The walnut stock with molding around the lock, carving around the back of the tang. Horn tip. Overall very good.
