.31 caliber, 3" octagonal barrel, S/N 122906. Colt Model 1849 Pocket Percussion Revolver in the scarce "Rammerless" configuration. Produced by Colt's Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co. in Hartford, Connecticut, the Model 1849 was the most widely produced handgun in Colt's history. While the vast majority of 1849 Pocket models were equipped with an attached loading lever under the barrel, Colt produced a limited number of factory rammerless models often seen with the 3" barrel length. The top of the barrel with two-line barrel address, brass cone front sight and stagecoach cylinder scene. Silver plated backstrap and triggerguard. One piece walnut grips. This revolver displays an old refinished. It retains most of that finish. The grips are very good with a little scuffing along the bottom edge. Overall very good.
