Offered is a rare North American Fur Trade Dag Knife, dating from the height of the 19th-century frontier fur trade. Widely known as a "beavertail dagger" or "stabber," this iconic weapon represents a critical intersection of European manufacturing and Native American material culture.  Having a 6 inch double edged spear point blade extending into the guard, wooden handle with brass tacks; overall length 11 inches. Good overall condition with oxidation to the iron blade.
