.32 caliber, 6' octagonal, S/N 10103. The Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Army Revolver, often referred to as the "Old Model" Tip-Up was ntroduced at the dawn of the American Civil War. This model achieved popularity among Union officers and soldiers who privately purchased them as dependable sidearms due to their weather-resistant, self-contained rimfire metallic cartridges. Blue finish with case colored hammer and trigger. Rosewood grips.  Engraved on the left side of the barrel "Fredrick D. Baker, London".  The right side of the barrel with an extra set of numbers professionally applied "I.3566".  This revolver retains most of the original blue finish. The case colors on the hammer are very nice and strong.  The grips are excellent.  A light line through the cylinder stops.
