7.7 Bittner caliber, 6" round to octagonal barrel with matted top. S/N 10. Manufactured in Weipert, Bohemia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), this firearm is regarded by as some collector's as the most forward thinking handgun ever constructed. Standing as the last gasp of manually operated repeaters before the explosion of smokeless semi-automatics like the Borchardt and Mauser C96. Marked on the right side of the frame in the center "Patent Bittner". Barrel finish in blue turning into a plum patina. Proof mark over the top of the chamber. The frame is mostly gray to brown with some hint of case color in the protected areas. Checkered wood panels are very good with some nicks and dings. The checkered walnut grips en suite with the panels. Missing the magazine.
