38 S&W caliber, 3.25" barrel, S/N 57226.  The gun that introduced the world to the .38 S&W caliber.  This pistol was a huge success for S&W with nearly 109,000 produced between 1877 - 1891. Nickel finish with S&W logo hard rubber grips.  This revolver has most of the nickel finish with just a little dulling.  Grips are very good. The bore is very good.
