.565 bore diameter, 39" barrel with long range rear barrel sight and blade front sight, S/N 3945. Among modern reproductions, Parker-Hale of Birmingham, England, holds legendary status. Unlike mass-market replicas, original English-production Parker-Hales (manufactured prior to the brand's acquisition in 1992) were constructed using original, historical Royal Small Arms Factory gauges. They feature precise, authentic progressive/tapered rifling—cut deeper at the breech than at the muzzle—making them highly sought after by advanced black powder target shooters, military firearms enthusiasts, and discerning re-enactors for their unmatched quality. Iron barrel bands, brass buttplate, triggerguard and nosecap. Original ramrod. Lockplate marked "1853 Enfield" and in the rear "Crown P- R". Walnut stock with three barrel bands. The barrel markings consist of the serial number on the left side at the breech and a "Crown" and "BP" on the top of the breech. The barrel in the white with some light staining. The stock is very good with some nicks and dings. The bore is good and would clean even better.
