.22 Short / Long Rifle, 23" barrel length, S/N 409558. The Winchester Model 62A is a slide-action rimfire rifle celebrated as one of the finest "gallery guns" ever produced. Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1940 until 1958, it was a direct product product upgrade of the earlier Model 62.  Blue finish with grooved forearm and walnut buttstock and hard rubber butt plate. This model 62 A is almost like new, retaining nearly all of the blue finish.  The wood is excellent and bore is bright and shiny.
