.430 bore diameter, 28" octagonal barrel, NSN. In the very distinct Germanic stock architecture this robust percussion Jeager rifle displays all the characteristics of  desirable German hunting or target rifles. Top of barrel marked "Strassberger in Traunstein". Just in front of the breech marked "GUSS, STAHL, NOHR". Brown barrel with finely engraved tang with rear sight and front blade sight. Finely engraved back action lock and hammer with double set triggers. Finely checkered stock with carved rear panel on the left side near the buttplate. A very nice raised cheek piece with engraved buttplate. The barrel retains most of the original brown finish.  All metal surface are excellent.  The stock still retains a most of the original finish.  Overall this rifle is excellent.
