38-55 caliber, 23.25" octagonal barrel, S/N 6894 (ca. 1886). Standard Winchester New Haven, Conn. markings in two lines on top of the barrel.  A King rear tang sight with Kings markings. Front blade sight and mid notched sight in front of breech. The barrel displays nice sharp edges with a nice even brown patina finish. The frame evenly matches the rest of the metal giving a very nice and distinguished look. The stock and forearm have a nice even look with some nicks and dings.  The bore is excellent being bright and shiny.  The barrel has been shortened during its period of use. Overall a very good high wall.
