.620 bore diameter, 7" octagonal to round, the muzzle cannon style. NSN. The Pair of Scottish Percussion Highland Dress Pistols (Circa 1850) represents a spectacular fusion of Victorian-era romanticism, military tradition, and elite blacksmithing. Unlike traditional military sidearms, Highland dress pistols from the mid-19th century were crafted primarily as essential formal wear for Scottish clan chiefs, noblemen, and officers of Highland regiments, such as the Black Watch. They were designed to be worn proudly tucked into the dirk belt or sporran strap as part of full Highland regimental attire. These pistols are all German silver except for the locks and hammers. Finely engraved frame and rams horn grips. Top flat of the barrel marked "Lacy & Co London". The barrel finely engraved on the breech and the bolster.  The locks and hammers are finely engraved. These pistols are outstanding retainins some of the blue on the ramrods, locks and hammers.  Overall excellent.
