.42 caliber, 9" octagonal barrel, NSN. The Colette Gravity Pistol is a 19th-century Belgian repeating parlor pistol that uses gravity instead of a spring to feed self-contained "rocket ball" cartridges from a magazine mounted above the barrel. Invented by Jean Nicolas Herman, a gunsmith working for Belgian manufacturer Victor Colette in Liège. Blue barrel with engraved burnished white frame and butt cap. Fluted stock with European refinished blue. The rest of the metal cleaned in a European manner. Overall very good to excellent. Mechanically fine and the bore is excellent.
