28 MM Caliber, 4" barrel lengths,  S/N 4114. Produced for the Imperial Japanese Navy this flare pistol saw action both in World War II and Vietnam by the North Vietnamese.  Rarer than the Army Type 10, as they were produced in fewer numbers and issued to ships or Naval aircrafts.  Once the ship or aircraft was lost so was the flare pistol.  There were not many U.S. bring backs from the Pacific Theater of World War II. Black finish with black checkered grips.  These pistols are seldom seen for sale. In good working order. Excellent condition overall.
