9MM luger caliber, 4" barrel, S/N 6453. A staple of World War I mass produced side arms is the Luger 1916 DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken)  Pistol. Blue finish with checkered walnut grips.  Dated over the chamber "1916". Marked "DWM" on the toggle. All visible numbers match except the sideplate takedown lever.  This pistol retains most of the original blue finish with wear to the high edges and on the side plate. Some parts retain some of the straw finish.  Grips are very good.  The bore is very good.
