7mm caliber,30" tapered round barrel, NSN. Adopted by Mexico and other Central American countries, the Remington Model 1901 became the final evolutionary step for the Rolling Block Rifle. Blue barrel with case colored frame. Walnut stock and forearm with handguard.  Remington markings on the upper tang.  This rifle has a nice even look retaining most of the blue on the barrel and the frame with a mottled brown and traces of colors.  The hammer and breech block retain the original blue finish.  The wood has some nicks and dings.  To find a Remington Model 1901 in this condition is extremely rare for collectors.
