30-06 caliber, 24" barrel length, S/N 6099440. The M1 Garand Type II National Match rifle is an armory-accurized variation of the standard U.S. service rifle, specifically constructed by Springfield Armory for the annual Camp Perry National Matches. Moving beyond the hand-selected components of the earlier Type I series, the Type II represents the definitive integration of match-grade accurizing techniques into the military semi-automatic platform. Black finish with walnut stock and handguard. Front hood sight and special eye piece on the rear sight.  The stock is fully glass bedded.  "National Match" marked barrel with the "D" number "F6535448 9 56," and the receiver is marked "Z16A" over "F65283291".  The barrel marked on the left side near the front sight "NM" with a proof markings.  Overall this rifle is excellent and correct.The bore is bright and shiny.
