.36 caliber, 30" octagonal barrel, NSN. A rare harmonica rifle made by Henry Gross of Hamilton, Ohio.  Marked on the top of the barrel "H. (Henry) Gross, Ohio Maker from Hamilton Ohio".  With the breech sliding harmonica mechanism that containing a four shot magazine. An interesting under bar style hammer.  The percussion nipples are on the bottom of the magazine.  Fancy Birdseye maple stock with brass buttplate and toeplate.  A brass escutcheon inlay behind the tang.  All metal is sharp and crisp with visible markings; nice untouched patina brown.  The stock has been cleaned and refinished.  Harmonica rifles are quite rare, and perhaps the only known example from this maker.  Excellent overall.
