.69 caliber, 42" barrel, NSN. The barrel is a nice untouched dark brown with "JH" barrell inspector for the Model 1840 Nippes Muskets, The stock is a lovely and untouched with nice open grain look and "JH" and "WAT" cartouches.  The cartouches are sharp and crisp.  The lock is original flint lock by Harpers Ferry and dated "1815".  This musket has been constructed like this for a long time and possibly could have been assembled by a surplus company.  This entire musket has a nice even dark brown patina.
