A 19th-century Ottoman Suma is a firearms tool and elite belt accouterment from the Balkan or Turkish provinces. Because traditional Ottoman flintlock pistols were often crafted without integrated ramrod channels, warriors wore the suma tucked prominently into their silahlik. This tool served as both a practical weapon-maintenance instrument and a highly visible symbol of status and wealth. Repousse silver set with coral bead. Quality suitable for the finest Ottoman flintlock pistols.  In excellent condition.
