A fine and highly decorative late 19th-century Persian Qajar Helmet (Kulah Khud), showcasing the revival of classical Safavid-style military armor during the Qajar Dynasty. While traditional armor had become obsolete on the modern battlefield by this era, premium pieces like this were crafted by master armorers for royal military parades, high-status court ceremonies, or as elite presentation pieces for the aristocracy. The bowl elaborately pierced throughout and decorated with innumerable brass pins. Good quality chain mail coif. Spike and nasal are intact. Fine to excellent condition throughout. Better quality than most observed.
