This helmet weighing an incredible 15.5 pounds with two piece skull is finely engraved with double lines extending to the apex of the skull which is surmounted by an acorn finial above a crenulated circle. The helmet is decorated with brass rivets on both the line engraved brim and extended neck lame. Most significant this fine helmet retains its original pierced nasal. Overall very fine condition for an English Civil War helmet. The earflaps are well executed replacements.
