An authentic, battle-grade early 17th-century Continental Peaked Cabasset, representing a quintessential infantry helmet from the European Wars of Religion and the early stages of the Thirty Years' War. Evolving from the Spanish capacete , the cabasset was widely adopted across Italy, France, Germany, and the Low Countries by pikemen, harquebusiers, and town guards who required reliable, heavy cranial protection without sacrificing field of vision. The helmet of one piece construction and good form. Overall condition is good to fine. Interior with untouched 17th century patina.
